There Are Still Good People Out There

Friday night I was out with the #NYcrew having a good time drinking, laughing and joking. After while I left the crew to link up with some of my coworkers to celebrate a supervisor's birthday. Jumped in a taxi and headed downtown. Paid, got out and started looking for the spot. As I got closer I reached in my pocket looking for my ID when I realized I had left my wallet in the taxi. #Jealoused. I still had my phone and my debit card (miraculously) so I wasn't completely helpless, still #blown though.

The next day when I woke up I searched through my pockets to see if I had really lost it. Yea I did. The search did turn up the taxi receipt which had the taxi id number on it. I called 311 to see if I would be able to track down that taxi. I got the phone number to the taxi company and was told to call when they open. As blown as I had been I started to think all wasn't lost. Little did I know.

As I was getting ready for the day I got a Facebook message from a man who had found my wallet. He wanted to meet up with me and return it. #UNjealous. I was so amped. After a brief conversation with  my parents about how much to reward the man I called him and arranged the meeting. When I got there he returned my wallet and didnt even accept my reward money. After I offered again he still refused it and simply said "Pass the good karma forward." #Respect

Las Vegas

On December 28th 2010, I boarded a plane headed to Las Vegas, and even though I had planned the trip months in advance I still couldn't believe it. As soon as I got off the plane I was greeted with slot machines which wasn't weird at all. I mean who doesn't want a final chance to gamble their life away before they fly home? As I walked through the airport I saw billboards for all the shows, a liquor vending machine and various gift shops. At one shop I saw something I couldn't resist buy, a Las Vegas Icon:

Carlos
After getting my bag and linking up with @ThePuddingLied and getting a lil In N Out Burger (a must everything you're on the West Coast) we went to his crib to chill and get ready for the evening's festivities. Before we hit the strip we had to get a FatBurger (another must since I was out west) and then finally it all became real once I saw the lights of the Strip. We went to Caesars Palace. I was a little upset because "I wasnt getting a sig on my beeper." We eventually got to Fat Tuesdays where I started operation: #5daysoffade:

First night in LV wasn't nothing to spectacular. We walked the strip for a while where I saw so many young children out (it was 1am). I was so shocked, but hey its not the kids faults its the parents which is why I made a pledge to piss on minivans:

Just pissed on a minivan...if someone has their faimly on the strip @ they deserve to get they van pissed on....

The next day is when all the fun really started...or at least when the rest of #TheTeam came in. @Nucky_HAMson and @Geoff_HAM_Gundy. First thing we did was pick up the essentials for the week:

#5daysoffade
The 29 and 30th weren't anything to spectacular honestly. Met some of @thePuddingLied's friends one night (#Shoutout to @haseenat, @kianaabby, @AyeLeiLei). We went to a local spot that was full of Asians in relationships dancing to techno (#TheJealous). On the 30th I rode the roller coaster at New York New York, walked the strip getting my tourist game on and found a 32 ounce cup to bring #TheFade on the road with me. @Nucky_HAMson conquered a 35 ounce burrito challenge. That night we hit this spot called Jet @ the Mirage which unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy because I stepped out to wait for someone (#TheGuy) who was drunk, high and lost to get there. When they finally arrived I wasn't able to get back in (#TheJealous). I heard it was dope tho.

So after 3 consecutive nights of #Jealo I was counting on the last day of the year to provide the #UltimateUNjealo...and it didn't disappoint. We got up, got dressed, made our magic potions, took a few shots and hit the strip. We linked up with @simpleb and her crew for a lil photoshoot. Then we ate at the best Cheeseburger place in history @ Planet Hollywood:
#Perfection
From there we made a quick stop at CVS to pick up some final things for the pregame, this was the list:

Cups, Gingerale, Bread, Gum, & Chapstick

Essentials lol. Before we headed back to the room we linked up with @Just_Gyna and her crew. We went up to the room and had chilled for a bit, mentally preparing for greatness.

After about an hour or so of just relaxing we started getting calls, people were heading up to the room ready to party. What took place over the next 2 hours can only be described as the Greatest Pregame of ALLTIME *Kanye Voice*. Heres a clip:

That was only the beginning. We still had a party to go to. After some mass confusion with the party bus company (he wasn't where he was supposed to be, we all got separated looking for him) we finally boarded the bus and headed to the spot. We got there right before midnight, right on time for the fireworks.

When I walked in the spot the first thing I heard was "I used to be a pornstar." I though I was mistaken so I asked the young lady if I heard her correctly. Her response was "yea I'm Avena Lee!" Turns out she was hosting the party with another former pornstar Lexi Cruz (google that yourself, no safe photos lol). I decided to kick it with them  for a while and now I can honestly relate to Kanye on "Hell of A Life" because I literally almost fell in love with a pornstar, especially when Avena told me her twitter name was @AvenaLeeMVP because she has the Most Valuable P****

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Believe it or not hanging out with pornstars was the mildest part of my night and I cant say much more about what happened. I did lose my phone though. (If you have my number #hitmeup so I can re-save you lol).

The next day we woke up and took shots to #Recovery. Our last day in Vegas together was filled with Fade, Food and Laughs. We went out to @ThePuddingLied's house for a New Years Day's barbecue. When we got back to the strip we linked up with @sillsnumber2 finally and enjoyed a night at The Spearment Rhino.

All in all it was a great trip, minus a few #jealoused situations. We set out to finish out 150 shots and we got close, I'd say about 120. NYE was #Intrepid. #TheTeam did our thing. @ThePuddingLied and his folks were great hosts. Las Vegas was good to your boy, made some new friends and had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who helped make it memorable.

Rondo Withdraws...

Start working on ya jumper man
Rajon Rondo withdrew from Team USA late Tuesday night citing family issues but it may be more than that. Rondo, who felt he was on the bubble, may have been trying to save himself from the embarrassment, at least thats what a few reports have said (ESPN and Fanhouse). The news saddens me as I'm a big Rondo fan (my game is similar to his). Outside of my fanhood, I did think he was a good fit for the team, being a championship PG and very good distributor. Of course I was aware of his shooting struggles from the field and the FT line, but I thought his strengths vastly outweighed the weaknesses. What do I know? (Nothing, been wrong all my life). Better hit the gym brotha, 5000 jumpers a day.....

Team USA now has its set Roster. We'll see how they'll do tonight, 7pm ESPN and in the tournement (starts Tuesday).

Jets vs Giants...Eli #JEALOUSED

Last night the the New Meadowlands "officially" opened, hosting its first ever football game. (I was there last week for the USA vs Brazil soccer match). Rightfully so the game was between the co-owners of the stadium The New York Jets and the New York Giants. Don't remember being so hype for a pre-season game ever in my life, but I really wanted to see what these "new" Jets were about. I also wanted to see what the Giants would be like after their disappointing end to last season.

I only watched the first half, as the starters played most of it (Jets starters played all of it). On the Jets first offensive series Mark Sanchez forced a ball into new Jet LT (who was double covered) and had it picked by new Giant Antrell Rolle. (I think this is foreshadowing of how the season will go for Sanchez, forcing throws to make plays and turning it over). After the early mistake Sanchez did settle down and lead the 1st teamers to 3 scoring drives. The Jets defense looks as good as advertised and potentially better then last year's #1 defense. I say potentially because they need Darrelle Revis to pair with Antoino Cormartie (who shoulda had 2 picks yesterday). Overall the 1st teams looked good though.

The Giants 1st teamers, on the other hand didn't look so great. Their first TD was set up by the interception return. While the G-Men addressed their secondary in the offseason, they didn't add a LB to take over for Antonio Pierce who was the QB of the defense and a great communicator. That lack of communication led to an easy TD for the Jets, as they caught the Giants subbing out players (Pierce would have noticed and called timeout). The offense looked out of sync and could only muster up a drive that got them a FG. That drive was greatly helped out by a broken play turned into a 51 yard gain (Ahmed Bradshaw is a beast #fantasyalert). They're seems to be some confusion about the identity of the team, do they want to run (they should) or pass. This was so evident on a play close to the goal line. The Giants were set up for a power run play, when Eli Manning saw 1 on 1 coverage and decided to adubile to a fade. Problem was only he knew what he want to do. Jacobs expecting a handoff bumped into Eli causing his hlmet to losen...it was eventually knocked off putting Eli in a #jealoused position:

Bad things happen when helmets come off....
#theBloodyJealous

Eli was ultimately alright, just needed 12 stitches. I hope he learned the most important lesson he could ever learn: #1 Don't Jealous Yourself!!! Although I stopped watching, the Giants went on to win 31-16 with some guy named Victor Cruz (former UMass star) catching 3 TDs. Can't wait til the regular season. #LehGo!

Flip Cup Supremacy? No.

Saturday night Team #UNjealous (Me, @HAM_n_Chedda, @ThePuddingLied @G_Ur_Immature and @TheUnjealous) participated in a Flip Cup tournament. We thought it would be an easy championship being that it is one of our favorite games and we are extremely good. We were so WRONG *Charlie Murphy Voice*. We finished in 5th place, aka last. We got #JEALOUSED. At least we got drunk as hell #ForTheUNjealous lol. Got a few photos of me in action.

Ready for action, notice who's not in uniform (@TheUnjealous).

My team got it to me, time to close it out.
 1st flip
Its all over, CLOSED OUT.

Felicitación España

Congratulation Spain on their 1st ever World Cup title. Well deserved. It was a great game. Spain played the ball controlling style they have become well known for. They also played remarkable defense. In the early moments of the game Spain had several charges but came up empty. The Second half saw the most action. In the 62 min Arjen Robben of the Netherlands had his team's best opportunity stopped by Spain's excellent Goal Keep and captain Iker Casillas. Best believe the Dutch had they #jealousfaces on. Moments later Casillas stopped Robben again. Spain would squander a few opportunities themselves, first David Villa, then Sergio Ramos.

The rest of regulation went on rather drama/excitement free. Extra Time was full of drama though. Dutchmen John Heitinga was given his second Yellow card and thus had to leave the game, limiting his team to 10 players. This proved to be fatal as Spain would take advantage. After an incorrect call by the referee (typical) Spain gained control of the ball and would take advantage courtesy of Andres Iniesta's beautiful goal. I know that the ref made a bad call and the Dutch should have been granted a Corner Kick instead of the Free Kick but #tellemwhyyoumadDutch. When it was all said and done, even though it wasn't pretty, the best team won. Congrats again Spain, Felicitación España.

Oh I almost forgot, I know you won Spain and I'm going let you celebrate, but you still got #jealoused :

LOL
